Updated Terms and Conditions per 1 March
This year we are celebrating a special milestone: Greenwheels is turning 30! A year full of new cars, cool gifts and great plans for the future. In order to welcome these changes in the 'small print', we are updating our General Terms and Conditions as of 1 March 2025. This ensures we are well-prepared for the upcoming arrival of our new cars, new features, new payment processes, and to prevent fraud and misuse of our cars.
Below is an overview of the most important changes. Please also review the PDF document with all the changes in the terms and conditions compared to the current version (changes are highlighted in colour). You can find the new Terms and Conditions here.
In summary:
- Page 2: Our billing cycle will no longer be standard every two weeks but will depend on your chosen rate. For example, from March onwards, Soms (Occasional) users will receive the invoice the day after their trip, which will be automatically debited within 2 working days via their set payment method. We will inform our users if this will also apply to other rates in the future.
- Article 1: For some cars, you will need to meet additional conditions before you can use them, such as a certain number of driving hours/trips and a proven payment history. We do this for example to prevent misuse of our new, more expensive cars.
- Articles 20k and 20n: Our insurer has excluded certain uses and/or transport from their coverage, meaning you can no longer use our cars for transporting people or goods for payment, courier services, meal and grocery delivery services, and security services.
- Articles 21, 26, 62f, and 62g: These articles give us more options to prevent and combat fraud and misuse on our platform (with accounts and cars).
- Article 30: In case of damage, you (as the customer) or any other driver are required to send us the signed (digital) damage report within five days. Furthermore, we plan to use more advanced damage detection tools to better identify when and how our cars are damaged, so we hold the right party accountable.
- Articles 42 and 50: In the event of price or terms changes, the new terms, prices, and/or rates will also apply to pre-made bookings starting after the effective date of these new prices or terms.
- Article 46: We explicitly state that you must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to enter into a contract with Greenwheels.
Nog agreeing with the changes?
Are these changes a reason for you to cancel? We would be sorry to see you go, but you can cancel your Greenwheels account. If we do not receive a counter-notification before 1 March 2025, we assume that you agree with these updates. The new general Terms and Conditions apply per 1 March 2025.
