Maximum flexibility
At Greenwheels you are in full control. We offer a car near you, right when you need it. One you can book far in advance as well as just before you need to leave. Your car for every moment, big or small, long or short trip.
But sometimes plans change. That is why you can cancel last-minute. If you do so, we’ll charge you less if you return the car to its designated space earlier than expected (up to a maximum of two hours). That’s the freedom of car ownership, but not the costs or hassle. Note: The option to stop or shorten the trip earlier depends on your chosen rate and is only available via the app. See our rates.
Shortening your trip: How it works.
Suppose you made a booking from 10:00 AM to 4:15 PM.
- You end the booking via the Greenwheels app at 3:30 PM, then we will not charge for the last 45 minutes.
- If you end the booking at 2:00 PM, we will charge for the time from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM, but not for the last two hours (2:15 PM to 4:15 PM).
The option to stop or shorten the trip earlier depends on your chosen rate and is only possible via the Greenwheels app.
Frequently asked question
You can end your reservation as you would normally end a trip and lock the car via the app or with your OV-chipkaart or Greenwheels card.
If you wish to shorten your reservation this is only possible via the Greenwheels app. Read more on how to shorten your trip.
